Planning ahead

Tips on mindfully managing logistics

TLDR: Planning is the secret sauce to making dreams come true. Creative Incubator Registration closes December 29th

Planning is a curious thing 🤔. People often see themselves as either natural "planners" 🗂️ or as someone who avoids planning until the last minute ⏳. Personally, I never considered myself a natural planner, but over time, I've had to embrace it out of necessity 🛠️.

When it comes to creative projects, planning can feel at odds with the flow and freedom that creativity thrives on 🌊. So, how can structure actually support your free-flowing creative process? 🤷‍♀️💡

Whether planning is your thing or not – I have quick tip on how to make your planning less anxiety-inducing:

Pair your planning with a mindful moment. Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes for a quick mood “check-in,” or do something that helps ground you. The key is to create a calm, centered space before diving into logistics—you know yourself best.

Once you’ve popped into your calendar and to-do list, keep that mindfulness close by.

Let your goals be driven not just by ambition, but also by your commitment to your own bodily, spiritual, and social needs.

Whether it’s a big visual calendar or just opening up my notebook and planning for the week ahead, there’s one thing I know to be true, applying skills in planning to creative work is really powerful. It’s the secret sauce!

In the Creative Incubator we dive deep into strategies for planning creative projects with your intuition. We talk about planning your days off, and using planning to grow your free-flowing creative time.
