What’s in your trash?

a hands on activity to help overcome the blank page (skip to 0:19)

Last year (and intermittently since) I experienced a several months long dry spell with writing. The big blank journal that I sometimes moved around my house and never opened was making me feel bad.

When I finally opened it up to write I was pleasantly surprised to realize that it felt good to write anything. The big judge over my shoulder wondering what the heck I would even write about didn’t actually show up once I got started.

I was reminded of the method behind Julia Cameron’s morning pages it’s not about what you write, it’s about writing. The good stuff always comes out after a while. Keeping up with the practice is a necessary part of maintaining creative momentum.

Whether you’re avoiding your journal, or ready to dig into your recycling to find your next creative material - I’m here for you.

The Creative Incubator runs February-March and I’m excited to announce that DATES HAVE BEEN POSTED for group workshops.
